STRATEGIC LEARNERS’ ACTIVITY BANK (S.L.A.B)
The Department of Education and the school authorities encouraged the teachers to use as many teaching and learning aids as possible to set an environment which stimulative and conducive to learning and in which pupils can be easily guided through the discovery of knowledge on their own. Learning and teaching aids are items used to facilitate learning and teaching. These can be visual or audio. The provision of a good learning environment is what distinguishes a good teacher from a inferior one to whatever subjects or grade level they will teach, the use of learning aids is always superior to the non-use of aids. In lieu with this, the Potrero Elementary School will introduce the STRATEGIC LEARNERS’ ACTIVITY BANK (SLAB) to provide the teachers of a Bank with the readymade Audio-visual aids to effectively integrate auditory and visual information.
